Weekend Snapshot

Since moving back to Miami, I’ve been really enjoying exploring around the city and discovering all of Miami’s little gemsfrom the picturesque beaches to movie premiers, clubs, and of course Cuban coffee. I thought “what better way to show Miami through the eyes of a Florida resident  than to write a blog post about it?” So let’s recap!

Let me just say that this past week has been the longest and most stressful week by far, so I really needed to do something to get my mind off of it.

I started my weekend and Saturday morning off with a 60 minute (much needed) hot yoga class. Why I don’t do more hot yoga, seeing how it total relaxes me and brings the attention back to my body and my mind.. I have no idea. But it’s the best!

After fighting the need to take a nap after yoga, I prepared for the second half of my day. Though those plans fell through, it wasn’t all bad. Because my best friend and I ended up at Dania beach.

We arrived at the perfect time too, around sunset! While walking on the beach we stopped every few seconds to take pictures of the water, and selfies of course. The water was warm and a beautiful shade of blue. The beach is my go-to happy place. The sound of the waves, the salty air.

Seeing as how my Saturday night was spent watching F.R.I.E.N.D.S and eating pizza at 2 am, I definitely needed to sleep in the morning after. After all, that’s what Sundays are for right? I ended up going to Wynwood that day and had such a blast!

It seems like every time I go to Wynwood there’s something new to discover. I had the best time walking around to the different shops, visiting the Wynwood walls, and grabbing a bite to eat at just about every restaurant or cafe we passed.

The Freshii food cafe where we enjoyed some vegetarian friendly food 🙂

Dr SMOOD a superfood cafe that has become a new favorite spot of mine!

Can’t go to Wynwood without stopping by jugofresh! Enjoyed the Iced Maca-chino.

Last but not least Thé Noir 29, My favorite scent from the fragrance shop Le Labo. I also really loved the aesthetic of the shop.

So I think it’s safe to say that after a stressful week, I managed to enjoy the weekend! Though I’m sad it’s over, I can’t wait to see what’s in store for next time 😉
